La Spiaza
La Spiaza is a little restaurant and B&B for travellers and italian cousine lovers. It’s located in Playa Las Lajas, on pacific coast of the republic of Panama, just about 100 kilometres from the Costarican border. Our aim is to create a green oasis where people can relax while enjoying a beer, a mojito or a “batido de fruta” just few meters from one of the republic’s most incredible and untainted shores.
In the restaurant is possible to choose, as well as espresso, ice coffee and capuccino, between a wide variety of typical Italian dishes: “bruschetta”, pasta, seafood, red and white meat, pizza and “focaccia”. The tropical fruit lovers can enjoy a good range of beverages and food, both prepared with the finest and healthiest local fruits. All of this enhanced by the beautiful views offered by the beach, that has the special peculiarity of reflecting the sunrise and the sunset (both take place on the water thanks to the particular location of the place) on the shore, covered by a thin layer of seawater.
For the moment La Spiaza is able to offer a choice of Italian home-made cuisine dishes, as well as accomodation in different varieties. We have "deluxe" tents for 1-2 persons: provided of a double mattress, pillows, fresh bed-sheets and private locker. Our new Rancho will soon be a 100% natural dorm room with bunk beds, giving you a taste of the original panamanian architecture with some modern touches. In our two-storey Bungalow we offer two rooms with private bathroom, double bed, fan and closet. The upper storey, all made from natural building materials, gives you direct view of the beach (perfect for lazy surfers who don't want to get out of bed to check the waves), the lower has it's own little garden with a cozy hammock.
